A desert as a tourist attraction might not be a good idea at first sight but many deserts offer just more than endless amounts sand, stones and way to high temperatures. One of these "too" hot places is the world's oldest one, the Namib desert. It is not deserted at all as the term might indicate. There are indeed many animals like the desert elephant and many cloven hoofed animals, and one of the most spectacular and highest sand dunes of the world.
